Bento #3

Inari (rice mixed with minced corn, green beans, string beans, and bacon bits)
Cherry tomatoes with Xylitol sprinkles,
Takuan and marinated lotus root.

Chloe ate most of the Inari!
I made a lot just to fill the bento space but I'm glad I did!

New Bento Box

The newVivo Bento Box I got for Chloe was ordered from Amazon. It's kinda big for a child, more for an adult. I think it's made out of melamine so I'm assuming it is not microwaveable. But that's ok.
I love the colors. Thinking of buying bigger ones for possible future picnics.

Bento#2

Well at least this one... Chloe ate the facial expressions and some salad. She ate the heart rice with help from granny...
I'm really getting worried if she'll be able to eat by herself at school...

Holiday Spirit

I realized that my holidays during the past several years were more about who to gift and how much to spend...
But I think this year is a bit different.
Now that Chloe turned two and definitely has her likes and dislikes, and also being able to communicate with her so much better than before, I began to appreciate things a lot more now.
Thanksgiving for example, I read her some books about Thanksgiving and practiced with her what Thanksgiving is all about. I made foods and did decorations and what I am thankful for.
And now that Christmas is near, I again, am trying to make a good example not just by going out and shop till I drop, but now that I'm a parent, I want to do the right things so that I can plant a positive thought about Christmas and what Christmas is all about. Never really thought much about the holidays until now I guess. Oh the joys of being a mom!

Bento#1

I'm experimenting Bento making...
Chloe... My daughter is starting preschool in about a month and I need to start making yummy looking food for her so that hopefully, she'll self feed herself and not starve....
My first ever Bento creation was half success. Chloe was excited to see the funny facial expressions but was hesitant to eat on her own. My hubby and I ate most of her bento... Boo hoo...
